swedish punk band from töreboda / mariestad / stockholm, formed in 1978.

med is i magen was recorded in a couple of days, autumn/winter 84/85 - in the recording studio of a military barracks. basically recording anti-military songs at their enemies’ place. all the basic tracks laid down in just a few hours and mixed the next day. and you can feel that energy. it’s raw, urgent, no bullshit.

tight musicianship, instrumental hooks that won’t let go, rough lead vocals and up-tempo sing-along choruses that remind me of classic late 70s punk. sung entirely in swedish which only adds to the punch - you don’t need to understand every word to feel what they’re saying.

and what these teenagers created here in the early 80s is just something completely on its own. a masterpiece. absolute essential punk - asta kask simply wouldn’t know how to write a bad song. earworm guaranteed.
